Reflections on first week of school

Monday 14 April

hmm...was suppose to have Human Biology and disease (HBD) tutorial and practical today. However, the lessons were cancelled as the tutuorial was an e-tutorial and the there wasn't any practical for that week. However, i met my NE group at mac to finish up our NE project. After that, met up with my mum at heartland mall to shop for groceries.

Tuesday 15 April

My first day back to school. Had lecture the whole morning from 9-11, followed by a 2 hour break. After that was molecular biology and techniques (MBT) practical, from 2-5pm. I was quite surprised that i was actually clear-headed during the practical. Normally im quite blur during practical. However, i was quite surprised that i was clearheaded during MBT practical. Hmm...i hope that i can maintain this cleadheadedness throughout all my practicals.

Wedsnesday 16 April

Had lecture at 9am, industrial microbiology. The lecturer AK was so straightdforward and kind to allow us to do the report in pair. Wa...thank GOD man...hurray, three for AK :)

Thursday 17 April

The only day in which lessons starts in the afternoon. Was slacking the whole morning. Went to school at 12.30 to meet Dr Chan, our mentor. During the meeting, our class reps were selected, and they are carine and kelvin. Congratulations carine and kelvin :) After that, had HBD lecture followed by analytical biochem practical. Haha...something funny happened. After the practical, carine passed her labcoat to me to put in the locker as she had to rush off. Meanwhile, ayesha had finished packing her bag. As for me, i was halfway through packing my bag while ziling and her lab partners had to do stockcheck. Ayesha just grabbed my bag and marker and ran out of the lab. I ran after her, running down the whole long corridor all the way to the lift, wondering to myself why is ayesha running so quickly. Then it struck me. It was to prevent ziling from passing her labcoat to us. After putting out labcoat in the locker, we went to the canteen to buy roti john before walking to the interchange. Meanwhile, ziling called me. However, i did not answer the call. Insteand, i sms her, asking why did she call me. Her reply was to put labcoat. I then sms her back saying that i forgot and that i was already in the bus when in actual fact, i was still in school, walking out of south canteen.

Friday 18 April

Lessons only in the afternoon as there wasn't any practical this week. Went to school in the afternoon jus to attend a 2hours lectures, HBD and industrial micro.

Saturday 19 April

Had to go school today even though its a saturday. Attended a boring 1 hour lecture on marketing for life sciences. After that, went to have breakfast cum lunch with ayesha and dhiviya at food juction. Carine went home first as she wasn't feeling well. After breakfast, ayesha went to SSDC to take her trial test while dhiviya and i went home.

Hmm...nothing much happened during the first week of school. Except for the MBT report, there wasn't any other assignments. Oh well, its only the beginning, there's more coming in the coming weeks. Haha...

Ok, i gotta do my reports. Blog another time.

Met up with carine and sujith at 11 at harbourfront on friday. Took a bus to sentosa siloso beach. It was SCOTCHING HOT when we reached there. Walked a distance before locating my classmates. Wa...super hot man. Haha...

Some of them were swimming while the rest were seating on the rock relaxing. After swimming, all of them went to play volleyball. carine, sujith and i didn't join in, rather, we were seating on the rocks, watching them play, relaxing and taking pictures. Soon, it was lunchtime. Food? Tuna sandwich and potato salad. There was an animal show going on, and the three of us went to watch. After lunch, sujith and i joined in to play frisbee and volleyball. carine and kelvin suddenly became very close. Is there some secret or something??? Haha...

At around 3.30, the three of us went to eat ice-kachang. They were playing basketball, and carine and i joined in while sujith sat in the shade to relax. At around 6, all of them went to bath. After which, we went to burger king to grab a bite before proceeding to the musical fountain. After that, we then took the bus back to harbourfront station and took the train home.

What a day of fun, joy and laughter. I even got sun-burned. So painful. Haha...but the skin is starting to peel off already. Haha...ok, gotta go already. take care folks :)

Been to orchard two days in a row. Haha...im simply LOVE orchard, that is my number ONE shopping place. Haha...gonna explore orchard one day, its such a big place.

Anyway, i've been thinking about some things these few days. Recent events have also taught me a lot of things. Firstly, its not a matter of what we are capable of doing, but a question of whether we are willing to try.
Secondly, when something happens, look at it from two sides of view. Do not always look at the negative side, but the positive side as well.

Here's a piece of good news for the sisterz. I have already forgiven ziling. When that incident happened, i did forgive her, but at that time, i was angry, thus i did things that were "out of my character". About her being my lab partner next semester, i guess it is something which i have to live with coz no matter what, i cannot escape from this fact. I will always be stuck with her. I guess i will have to learn to live with it. Im trying to learn to "widen my heart" and to be more magnanimous.

Hmm...i wanna learn a lot of things: Piano, dancing, makeup, cycling. Haha..but one thing at a time...maybe i can only learn some of these things when i have started working coz by then, i will have the money.
