Yo! Im back again. Haha...after like one week? Hmm...wat to blog? PCR? Gel electrophoresis? Boring de, doing the same thing over and over again everyday :)

Anyway, results are out. Here hows i fare:

No Ds, thank God. Immuno was a disappointing one, haiz...had planned to score for this module but the results ended up lidat. But then again its understandable, coz the paper was kinda tough, mostly applications. I was kinda surprised by my bioinfo and bioprocess grades. Haha...didn't expect to score so well. All in all, i would say that my results this sem are better then last sem.

Wow, time really passes by so fast, its nearly april. Im in my third year already, seems like only yesterday i jus started my poly education. And im turning older and older year by year. Can't wait to be 21 :)

22 weeks more of attachment.Counting down...

One week has past since the start of my attachment. Hmm...felt kinda depressed during the lst few days of my attachment. Maybe its becoz of FYP (Final Year Project) and attachment. Dunoe. But Felt better on thursday and friday. Went to asked my supervisor some questions about my project, and it turns out that im doing the same thing as my senior. Well, not that bad, considering the fact that i understand the procedure (PCR, Gel electrophoresis, restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) and then gel electrophoresis of RFLP products) Hmm...some doubts still lingered in my mind but i will try to clarify them. Wats more im doing this project alone so i have to be very clear on my project.

This one week of attachment has made me more independent. Being attached to a company alone is not a bad thing after all, at least it has taught to be more independent and not rely on my lab partner all the time. Besides that, i oso how to carry out PCR and gel electrophoresis on my own. Haha...realise that its not like wat we did in our school lab. In our school lab, we jus hav to aliquot the reagents into our tubes, then the lecturers and lab tech will do the PCR for us. Then the lab tech will prepare the gel for us and all we hav to do is to load the PCR products into the gel and then they will carry out the gel electrophoresis for us.

But after this first week of attachment, i found out that things are not like wat we did in school. I had to do everything by myself. I learned how to set the PCR machine according to my PCR conditions and to prepare the gel for gel electrophoresis. WOW. Cool. Haha...but the waiting time is horrible. One whole PCR cycle takes approximately 2 hours, and one gel electrophoresis takes approximately one and a half hours. Gosh.

23 more weeks of attachment to go. Jiayou le! When all this is over, im really gonna celebrate :)

What a week i had! Shopping and singing and movie and slacking and lazing around :)

Sunday

Went out with carine to orchard. Went to borders to look at cds and then went to far east. Splash my lunch all over the place. So paiseh la! Anyway tat day didn't really shop much.

Monday

Went to bugis with my mum. I love bugis street, full of clothes! Clothes clothes and more clothes! Bought a very nice and unique black top. So nice :)

Tuesday

Stayed at home to watch JJ lin concert cd. I love his songs! And he is cute ;) Then at 4.45pm, went to compass point to meet my friend for a short while, jus walk around compass point before heading to kovan to meet eileen to pass her my med micro notes (she has to take med micro supp paper the next day and her notes was imcomplete).

Wedsnesday

Met carine at somerset at 12.30. Walked to cineleisure to buy tickets for the 1.50pm show for Dreamgirls. The show was not that bad, Beyonce is so sexy!!! Jennifer Hudson has a powerful voice, but there were some parts where she her singing was so high pitch that it sorta turns me off. The plot was so so, but the music was nice.

Thursday

Went out with one of my senior meikee to orchard to shop. Oh my, she can really shop, spend
$100++ tat day! Wa...

Friday

Went back to school for our attachment briefing at 9am. Gosh, after hearing all the requirements, im feeling stressed. I jus pray that all goes well for the attachment. After the briefing, candy, cara, carine and i went to douby ghaut to meet angie and eileen. Went to long john silvers to eat. The seafood combo is not bad, can consider eating that next time instead of the usual combo. After lunch, we walked to paradiz centre to book a room for our karaoke session :) Yeah, finally, after so long, i get to sing again. 15 jj lin songs, straight. Wa...nice :) Then angie sang cyndi wang's songs, eileen cara and carine sang songs from everywhere. Candy left at 3pm coz she had some stuff on. We sang and sang and sang. It was so fun, especially at the end when time was running out and we selected all the "high" songs to sing. I love the last song especially: tata young-sexy naughty bitchy. Oooooooo.........im sexy im naughty and im bitchy ;)
We left the place at 7pm. Headed to heeren to take neoprint! Went home with carine after tat. It was such a fun and wonderful day. How i wish it would last forever. Looking forward to k-ing again.
